YOUR INFORMATION IS YOURS

Privacy, in plain language.

You can explore Delaware Civic without creating an account. We collect only what is needed to operate the service and review submitted corrections.

Your voting address

Delaware Civic does not ask for or collect your residential voting address. Ballot and polling-place links take you directly to Delaware Elections. No address is sent to this application, a geocoder, or an AI provider.

Precise lookup takes place on Delaware’s official website. You enter your address there yourself, subject to that website’s privacy policy. Your address is not included in the outgoing link.

Public browsing

This application has no advertising trackers, analytics scripts, voter accounts, or tracking cookies. Short-lived hashed network identifiers support rate limiting and are periodically removed after approximately two minutes. Hosting providers may maintain network access logs under their own policies.

Corrections you submit

Correction text, an optional supporting source link, and the related candidate identifier are stored for editorial review. No contact information is required. Please do not include your address, registration number, Social Security number, date of birth, or any other sensitive identification information.

Corrections are visible only to authorized reviewers. Resolved correction submissions are automatically removed after the configured retention period (90 days by default). Open submissions are retained while awaiting resolution. The audit log retains the resolution action and record identifier, without copying the submission text.

Reviewer access

Reviewers use an administrator credential. The browser holds it in memory for the current page session; it is not saved in local storage. Refreshing or leaving the page clears it. Credentials are not part of the public frontend configuration.

External sites and research tools

Official and campaign links take you to independently operated websites. Optional AI processing receives only reviewer-selected source evidence; voting addresses and correction submissions are never sent to the AI provider.

Policy updated October 23, 2026. Operators must review hosting privacy practices and establish an editorial retention policy before public launch.
